J. Press moving to the Mayflower in the former Town & Country space

1127 Connecticut Ave, NW Thanks to BK for sending: Looks like J.Press is moving from 18th and L to the retail store at the Mayflower Hotel (Connecticut and Desales NW). It was built out for a menswear shop back when it was Thomas Pink, before it was a White House Gift Shop. [Ed. Note: The space was also the longtime home to the legendary Town Country bar ] I imagine that s why the move is happening so fast! J. Press is currently located at 1801 L Street, NW. I m told they are hoping to make the move by the end of October. J. Press has outfitted many of the most iconic figures in American history, including Presidents Roosevelt, Kennedy, Ford, Clinton, and Bush. Visit our Washington, D.C., store, a stone s throw from The White House, The Capitol Building, and the Supreme Court.
